Tim James is just about to open a Bookbinding Equipment Museum,
adjacent to Taurus Bookbindery, and has invited Hand Bookbinders of California for a sneak preview!
Join fellow members for a tour of Tim’s collection of old, odd, arcane and just
plain strange binding equipment, led by the collector himself!

Joint meeting of Bookarts Users Group (BUG) and Hand bookbinders of California (HBC)
at the San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB)
Joanne Page, distinguished bookbinder, conservator, collector and longtime HBC member,
will exhibit examples of her extensive collection of Pop-Up Books. She will talk about the
books on display, and will tell us her thoughts on the past, present and future of Pop-Ups.

HBC Annual Meeting, Election of Officers and Show and Tell.

Join your friends and colleagues for our annual Elections and
HBC April Show and Tell! Fred Voltmer and Judy Houghteling
will demonstrate some interesting techniques for slipcase
construction and mounting jewels in leather bindings.
